Update: due to unsafe conditions on the Edges Way bridge and the upper Hinogo trail, we will take an alternative route for this event.

Following public reports of the Edges Way Bridge failing, we will change the route for this event. Apologies for the last-minute change; it’s better to be safe than sorry.

We will still meet at the Haslam Street water tower for carpooling, and will still start the event from the Burma Road parking lot.

We will now head out the back of the car park to the Cable trail, take this up to W8, across to Alaska Pine Rd, then Sweetwater up to the Green Road, down to the lower Hinogo trail and all the way up to Granite Lake and then past until we meet the SCT, then back down to the Green Road, before descending on Blackwater and Aloha back to the car park.

This will keep the distance and ascent almost the same as the original route.

Around 16.5 km and just under 600 m of total elevation.
